Bush is more responsible than President Obama for the current economic problems in the country, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. Among registered voters, the numbers are almost identical; 54 percent blame Bush, while 30 percent blame Obama. Heck, even one in five Republicans say Bush is more responsible than Obama for the state of the economy! Bush drove this thing into a ditch in 2008 and, ever since, Republicans have been complaining that Obama hasn’t managed to get it out fast enough. Combine this with a poll released yesterday showing that Americans see through GOP obstructionism and we start to see a Republican messaging strategy that failing miserably. Screw everything up and blame Obama for the mess? We’re not buying it.
